31st January

Jessica was sent home from school poorly again this afternoon. Once the paracetamol kicked in, she was good to play so she and Maisie got the indoors sand tray out and enjoyed almost 2 hours together playing nicely!

30th January

It is STEM week at school so we’ve been set some homework (a STEM project with photographs). It’s completely our choice. Maisie chose to investigate what happens to coins (both silver and copper) when placed in different liquids. We’ll check them tomorrow!

29th January

A bit of post school sensory play with a tin foil blanket!

28th January

Maisie trying to follow the hymn this morning at Church (photo courtesy of Granny!).

27th January

Mummy escaped to London today to help celebrate a friend’s 40th birthday with afternoon tea and Fortnum and Mason. A brilliant day!

26th January

We’ve got a poorly Jessica (high temperature, cold and ear infection) so she came home from school demanding cuddles. Oliver wanted to join in. Who could refuse that smile?

Benjamin’s Super Hero Birthday Party today (Maisie opted to be the super hero known as the Gingerbread Man!). This photo was the calm before the storm!

20th January

We had a lovely afternoon and evening at our friend’s house but this was the only photograph taken!

19th January

We love a snowy trek to school! It was certainly easier than taking the car out.

18th January

It was Uncle Simon’s birthday today so we visited him. Oliver normally shakes at the sight of a cat or dog. Today was different. He asked to see Ozzy (who was in a different room for our visit) and then promptly stroked him repeatedly! Now just the girls!

17th January

Maisie and Oliver were allowed to explore the ‘forest’ on the way home from school at lunchtime!

16th January

We managed to catch this photograph of Maisie and Jessica walking from the car to home. They do love each other!

15th January

Drawing time (and spot Oliver’s new hair!).

14th January

Donna’s 40th birthday present - a gin tasting session at Newcastle Gin!

13th January

Funny faces in Yo Sushi before the match!

12th January

Fancy dress afternoon for Maisie. A fairy? Princess? Nope, a pumpkin.

11th January

Cocktails tonight for Mummy’s friend’s 40th birthday!

Wednesday, 10 January 2018

10th January

We’ve not been for a while as Maisie and Oliver are so tired after a morning of school but we went back to toddlers this afternoon for a play and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

9th January

Our first visit to Pixie’s Play Den and it will not be our last!

8th January

It’s the last day of the holidays today so we went to the beach to have a very cold run around!

7th January

Birthdays are the theme this week! Here’s Maisie decorating a birthday cake during Sunday School this morning (our Church turns 350 this year!).

Sunday, 7 January 2018

6th January

Daddy’s birthday night out at Hinnies along with the obligatory birthday candle!

5th January

The moment we left the children with paint (we had been making thank you cards). Everyone needed baths afterwards!

4th January

Oliver had his routine eye appointment today. The best bit is the play room. He made lots of drinks and lunch for us!

Wednesday, 3 January 2018

3rd January

Happy Birthday Daddy! The children made a cake  while Daddy was at work but had an argument over the icing so we chose to have chocolate and vanilla!

2nd January

Daddy is back to work today and we all needed a stretch of the legs but given the weather wasn’t nice, we descended on the church and had a play there including putting on a nativity for Granny and Mummy!

1st January 2018!

Happy New Year! It was a late night for us all last night so another day at home today to play with toys. Jessica enjoyed building her first proper Lego model!

31st December

The calm before the storm? The children having their buffet food before chaos ensued!
