27th February

We woke up to find that the Beast from the East had visited and left around 3” of snow. We had great fun walking to school and then playing in the snow at school.

26th February

Eating dinner is just so hard! This was 5.30pm and he went straight to bed without waking up!

25th February

Back to normal Sunday activities but that doesn’t stop us being silly by wearing Mummy and Daddy’s shoes!

24th February

We had a great day at the Tim Lamb Centre. The sun was shining and we made some music!

23rd February

Oliver made it back to school today! We then built towers. The best bit was definitely knocking them down afterwards!

22nd February

Maisie and Oliver have payed lovely together today! This is them building a racing track.

21st February

Hopefully our last day of being housebound so we made chocolate brownies. It turns out Oliver enjoys baking as much as his Mummy!

20th February

We’re housebound because of the bright sun today (Oliver is struggling with the brightness) and it’s Auntie Steph’s Birthday so Emily and Auntie Steph visited us. Oliver and Emily particularly liked playing Sleeping Bunnies!

19th February

Oliver had bilateral squint surgery this morning and was an absolute trooper! Clearly very sore but he still managed some smiles once he’d eaten.

18th February

Today was a dress up/wash the cars/finish off homework type of day (after Church) before school tomorrow. Jessica opted for Elmer!

17th February

We hunted out another one today but this time with Daddy too. 13 metal people. Not giants but they were bigger than the children so that counts!

Friday, 16 February 2018

16th February

It seemed only right to end the half term holidays visiting another metal giant. This time, a giant fisherman! We finished off with a play on the beach and an ice-cream!

Thursday, 15 February 2018

15th February

The Angel of the North is 20 years old today (we didn’t know this until we arrived!) so we managed a happy birthday song as our half term tour of large metal sculptures continues!

Wednesday, 14 February 2018

14th February

Our friends are here from USA so we had a play date and lunch with them at soft play followed by Oliver making his first cake this afternoon. The gingerbread is delicious!

13th February

A morning at Church helping to tidy the toy cupboard and an afternoon with friends at the Tim Lamb Centre!

12th February

It’s half term! We spent the morning in the park (we planned to have our lunch there too but it was bitterly cold so we headed home to warm up). We then hunted out the giant spoon and found it just as Mummy’s camera went flat!

Sunday, 11 February 2018

11th February

Who can spot Oliver?! We left something in Church so had to nip back in when everyone had left so Oliver made the most of it!

10th February

Jessica enjoying making her Beaver biscuit at an activity morning.

9th February

We had a beautiful walk home from school this afternoon. The sun was shining although it was bitterly cold!

8th February

Mummy has her moments of being quite clever. Today’s task was to put the television onto the wall. Success! The visible screws above the television are the hooks from the mirror which used to hang here, not overzealous hole making!

Wednesday, 7 February 2018

7th February

Maisie hanging around the den she made with her friends in nursery!

6th February

Maisie with her unicorn (her present for Jessica taking her antibiotics!).

5th February

Another day, another party to go to!

4th February

Maisie loves her baths especially when she doesn’t have to share them!

3rd February

Jessica is feeling much brighter today so a morning with Moana and a couple of Halloween chocolates sounded like a plan!

Saturday, 3 February 2018

2nd February

Oliver eagerly waiting the return of Daddy!

1st February

Another poorly day off school and a trip to the Doctor to get antibiotics for a perforated eardrum!
