30th May
We travelled on more public transport today. First the bus to the ferry and then onto the ferry to South Shields. We spent a few hours there including having lunch before heading back to the ferry and then the bus home. We also discovered that the South Shields ferry landing is called Maisie! Maisie was thrilled!
29th May
Oliver wanted to go on the Metro today so we took the Metro to Tynemouth, walked along to Cullercoats via the park, ate chips in the sea fret and then got the Metro home happy but a bit more damp than when we started!
27th May
A day trip to Pirate Marra Camp. The weather was beautiful and it was a brilliant day so was impossible to narrow it down to 1 photograph. Maisie is ‘performing’ CPR (well, checking for breathing) by straddling the blow up torso!
25th May
Our newly decorated playroom is now complete! Much more space after a sort out. We’ll see long it is before it’s untidy!

Maisie has taken to jigsaws recently and was very proud of herself for completing this alone! Ignore the hole in the tights!

Today was all about preparing for Afternoon Tea for 40 people! Mini trifles was the first job on the list.

Mummy and Daddy had a meeting at school this afternoon so Jessica was able to walk home without siblings after school. She opted for the park on the way!

12th May
Happy 7th Birthday George! Jessica loved the game of laser tag (Maisie and Oliver weren’t old enough to join in but they joined in the family garden party earlier in the day!).
9th May
We went out for lunch with friends today straight after school. The highlight for the children was ice cream!
8th May
Oliver opted to go in the pram to school today (rather than on Mummy’s back) so that was some light relief in this heat!
7th May
Bank Holiday fun! We visited Newcastle’s Castle and Keep. Oliver particularly liked the fact it had an excellent view of the train station from the top of the Castle Keep!

30th April
The children enjoyed exploring the garden after we’d cut back the bushes and put some paving stones behind the bushes to help them find hiding holes!
29th April
Oliver was given the opportunity to ride a pony this afternoon and he loved it (after a tentative start!).
28th April
Maisie had a date with Mummy this afternoon as Jessica was at football and Oliver was with Grandparents. Maisie chose lunch at Sainsbury’s followed by the park in the rain!
27th April
One of the children left Jessica’s class today so we took a photo at the end of the day (probably obvious given the messy hair and uniforms plus cakes in hand after a day at school!) of them all together!
