Daddy was golfing this afternoon so we took the opportunity to go to the Tim Lamb Centre and meet friends. It was a beautiful afternoon and the children loved it! Oliver is in the middle of the irate ship, Maisie is climbing up and Jessica was going down the slide at the back.

27th June
Maisie has learnt how to swing herself. Love this photo of her! She is quickly turning into our cheeky, funny, adventurous and loveable little girl!

26th June
Mummy and Daddy had a meeting at school today to look at supporting Oliver in September when he starts full time school. The benefit was that Daddy did the school run with us, literally! Jessica won!

24th June
Jessica left camp 30 minutes early today to go to gymnastics and it’s just as well she did. She was presented with her medal and certificate following her recent exam. She was given a distinction and she was so happy (we didn’t tell her anything about the grading or the fact there was a fail option. We were happy for her to just go in and do her best). We are very proud of her!
23rd June
Day 2 of the sleepover and she’s still smiling! There were 28 other Beaver Scouts sleeping too but we can’t put their photographs on here.
21st June
Note to diary: never leave sharpies where Oliver can reach them. Second note to diary: never trust silence lasting more than 10 seconds.
19th June
Sometimes, these two take “twinning” too far. Oliver fell quite badly at school and bumped his head. Two hours later, Maisie falls over and bumps her head at home!

After a lovely meal at Hinnies to celebrate our anniversary, we headed to St Mary’s Island to watch the sunset. It was beautiful!

9th June
We had a great time at Northumbria Police Open Day. We were lucky to get a slot during the private disabilities sessions today before the public session tomorrow. The girls loved dressing up and Oliver fell in love with the dogs!

8th June
Oliver has had a busy few days with some late nights (he had a restless night on Wednesday and was at Beavers last night). He was quite happy to get into bed tonight at his normal time and fall asleep cuddling into Mummy. We’ll ignore that Mummy forgot to wash his face after dinner!
7th June
Daddy is in Portugal on a golfing holiday with friends. Mummy and the children were very sad to hear that it was raining and a bit chilly over there while it’s been warm and sunny here!

6th June
Jessica had her very first gymnastics exam today and she loved it! Not the reaction we expected but we’ll take it!

4th June
An extra day of half term holidays because it’s a Teacher training day. The weather was miserable again but we agreed to go to Northumberland Park for an explore and play. The fairy doors were a definite attraction although Jessica didn’t particularly like the one with the fingers poking through (the girls are headed towards that door in this photo).
3rd June
Not nice weather today so, after Church, we put on our pyjamas and had a day of games, Maisie thought Operation (with her own rules!) was great fun!
2nd June
Mummy was out his afternoon for a delicious Afternoon Tea to celebrate a friend’s birthday!

1st June
A day trip to St Mary’s Island today with friends for rock pooling and beach fun. The picnic was slightly thwarted by a sudden downpour so we ate in the car while it passed by!
31st May
We had a trip to Silverlink Biodiversity Park today. Who knew this was sitting on our doorstep?! We located the sundial too and the children enjoyed seeing who could throw different objects (pebbles, daisies, grass) furthest into the pond!
