Great North Run!

As you may know, I’ve got a milestone birthday coming up in November and, as a challenge, I’m doing the Great North Run in September. I’ve never been a runner so it’s certainly a challenge. Seemed like a great idea when I entered the ballot earlier in the year!

Around 5 months ago, Oliver was fortunate to receive charity funding from The Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund for a specialist bed that he required to keep him safe at night and to help him (& us!) get a better night’s sleep. It seemed only sensible that The Sunshine Fund be my chosen charity.

I’d be very grateful to receive any sponsorship, every penny helps and will encourage me to cross that finish line! I also know that there are a lot of requests for sponsorship so this will be my only request on here and there is no assumed expectation that you will sponsor me. Just reading this is appreciated.

Help me raise some money!

Thank you in anticipation of your support!

28th August

Daddy is back to work today after a fortnight on holiday. We had a trip on the Metro and looked at big trains before heading to the Discovery Museum and (mainly for Mummy!) visiting The Rocket! We all had fun while there. The girls enjoyed the ride on the carousel and the crafts and Oliver liked the lift!!

27th August

Bank Holiday Monday so we made unicorn and rainbow cupcakes!

26th August

Football today which involves a trip to Yo Sushi. Jessica decided to try the prawns today and loved them!

The children decided to sort the under stairs cupboard this morning!

24th August

A brilliant street party today!

23rd August

School shoe day today! Thankfully there were very few people there.  We discovered that Maisie (4) now has bigger feet than Jessica (6). They have size 12 and 11 feet respectively! Oliver has dinky size 8’s in comparison.

22nd August

Mummy and Oliver had a great day at Flamingo Land with LD:NE (the girls went to Alnwick Garden with Daddy). We all had great fun!

21st August

We’ve put it off for the last 4+ weeks but we conceded to a trip to soft play today at the request of children. Given the weather wasn’t great, it was probably a good idea!

11th August

Another comical moment of trying to get (only 4 this time) of the cousins smiling. Failed again but we had a great day at the Fire Brigade Open Day followed by lunch and then a visit to the park.

10th August

Railway Children again! Our week seems to have been divided between a park and trains!

9th August

A Metro trip into town today to meet Daddy for lunch and try a new bigger park. It was very tempting to leave the girls hanging upside down here!

8th August

Another achievement today - Oliver went down an enclosed slide alone! He usually hates them as doesn’t like the feeling of being out of control but, as you can see from this face, he now loves them! The test will be when we try a different slide as he knows this one, at the Tim Lamb Centre, very well.

7th August

The best things in life are free! Blackberry picking (& eating!) before a few hours at the park.

These two do love each other! Look what Mummy found on her phone!

Jessica and Maisie helped verge the wedding today with Mummy. Maisie was happy to pose while we waited for the bride!

Friday, 3 August 2018

3rd August

The last day for Oliver to enjoy 1:1 Mummy time so off we went to a very wet Alnwick Gardens and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Too many photos to choose from!

2nd August

A retro day today - back to swimming on a Thursday morning with LD:NE! It’s a one-off during the school holidays see snapped up the opportunity!

Wednesday, 1 August 2018

1st August

A brilliant day at Beamish today with Oliver (the girls opted to go to Sports Club this week). We spent most of our time on a tram, train and bus. Any extra time was spent watching and waving at them!

31st July

Today was a trip to the Sealife Centre!

30th July

An afternoon at the Stephenson Railway Museum. Oliver loved pushing the foam wheels down the track to see which ones stayed on!

29th July

Jessica spends 95% of her time upside down! She is getting better!

28th July

Oliver loved his trip on the Metro to visit Granny, Benjamin and Joshua this afternoon!

27th July

A completely different day, weather wise, to yesterday. Today was heavy rain with thunder and lightening. It did mean that it was a quiet park when we visited!
