We’ve had gates fitted to the drive to allow more space bike riding and scooting. It also allows us to wash the car or tidy the garage with the children ring safe. It’s now becoming a nicer space with plants and seating!

22nd April
Today is the last day of the school holidays and Daddy is playing golf. The children chose to have a park day before heading home for baths to get ready for school tomorrow!
19th April
Good Friday! We visited the square for the Procession of Witness before heading to Granny’s for hot cross buns and a play including pond dipping!

18th April
Another lovely day weather wise and we went to the Tim Lamb Centre to meet with friends. We made it worthwhile as spent all day there!
17th April
A beautiful 3 hours spent on the beach today! It was so warm and sunny, the coats came off quite quickly after this photograph!
16th April
Today was a cake making, house tidying, garden tidying and general play day! We made some impressive rainbow butterfly cakes!
15th April
Daddy is back to work today. We visited the Rising Sun Farm. Considering all three children are very wary of most animals, they all wanted to (and did!) stroke the horses and ponies!

13th April
Oliver has asked to go on a train all week so we headed for the Metro today. Plan was slightly scuppered because the trains terminated at Monument (for works on the line) so we had to walk to Central Station to watch the big trains. We did have a cake and coffee before heading back to Monument although we found the market with live music on so we stopped off there too. Our Metro home then terminated at Palmersville so we walked home from there rather than wait 14 minutes for the next train. It took just under an hour so lots of walking and fresh air today!
12th April
Time for home after a brilliant 6 days away. Oliver helped pack the car and then we looked after our ‘babies’ on the way home!
11th April
We tried to walk to Scotland again today so that Jessica and Daddy could join in but lots of cows in a field foiled that plan! We did learn about barbed wire in the meantime and threw stones into a stream before we headed to a garden centre for a play!
9th April
Talkin Tarn Country Park today! Ice creams courtesy of spending money from Granny - thank you Granny!
8th April
We visited Walby Park Farm today. Well worth the money. We played on slides, tractors, climbing walls and go karts. We decorated chocolate eggs after watching a show but, best of all, we went on a tractor/train ride and loved it!
7th April
Daddy has taken the car to collect Jessica (a round trip of around 5 hours) so Mummy, Maisie and Oliver walked to Scotland! Well, the River Liddell which is the border. We loved it! We’ll not mention the trespassing bit...
6th April
We’re on our holiday! Jessica is joining us tomorrow after camp. Maisie is loving this bath and the TV!
5th April
Jessica has gone for her first Brownies camp! Two nights away. This is the first time she’s been away without family (she’s stuck with us for Scout events!). She ran off without a second glance back!
4th April
It’s new car day for Mummy! The Mini is going (after more than 3 years which is unheard of!) and is being replaced by a Citroen C3!
3rd April
Oliver is very interested in all of the building works still happening around the school and insisted on a photograph next to this poster today!
2nd April
We have participated in a reading challenge over the last few weeks and finished it today. It included challenges such as read in the bath, read a funny book and read somewhere unusual. We’ve included our ‘unusual’ photo below although it was from last night rather than today.
1st April
It’s STEM week (science and technology) this week at school so parents were invited to join in this afternoon. We made fossils, built a tower, made an erupting volcano and made 3D shapes!
31st March
Mothering Sunday! Jessica read a prayer beautifully in church this morning and we all joined in the youth part!

30th March
We did some gardening today and Oliver came across a ladybird. He was fascinated by it and very gentle!
29th March
We found this note, written by Maisie. It’s all her own work! Most is obvious but it starts “I like my room”. For a left handed child, it’s incredibly neat too!
28th March
Oliver has been very cuddly all week since his anaesthetic. Today he wouldn’t leave Mummy’s side!
27th March
We had a trip to Ikea after school today. It’s the first time the girls have been in a long time so they visited and played in every single ‘room’! Thankfully they didn’t ask to buy everything!
