We went for a walk today and, despite the snow and hail, it was nice to be out for an hour! Oliver went in the pram because he can’t grasp the lack of touching and cuddling. This was the safest option.

25th March
These two pupils are trying to get a detention. Climbing on top of the outside toy house!
24th March
Today’s maths lesson was making cupcakes. The girls made them without assistance (other than when they let the mixture split with too much egg).
23rd March
First day of home schooling and we made sock puppets in our craft lesson. Maisie has so much choice she couldn’t decide!

Today we painted the window with flowers for Mother’s Day and then we painted rainbows to display in our windows so make our neighbours smile.

One of the first jobs in our home school was to agree a new school name. We did and then we made our school sign! Welcome to Candy Cane Primary.
20th March
And just like that, school has finished. Probably until September but we can just hope that it’ll be earlier.

18th March
Wonky photo - sorry! We received an amazing postcard from school today from the Deputy Head. Fabulous surprise!
17th March
Oliver loving school! His class has been drastically reduced this week but he’s enjoyed every minute.
16th March
Maisie’s first tooth has come out!! The big tooth behind was almost completely through so she doesn’t have a gap. She’s thrilled that the tooth fairy will eventually visit, 8 months after Oliver’s first visit!
15th March
This was amazing to watch. Oliver had homework from school and Maisie helped him with it. The reciprocal love was obvious to see!
13th March
We’ve missed Jessica but it looks like she’s had fun! This was the best photograph of her without other children.

Jessica all plaited, ready and packed for her 3 days away with school. She’s very excited!
10th March
Jessica learnt about Shakespeare during World Book Day and she wanted to know more. Mummy spotted these in the sale and they’re perfect! Romeo and Juliet started tonight.

2nd March
It’s a sad day when we wake to the news that our ‘old school’ has burnt down. Admittedly it was probably going to become housing and be bulldozed, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t sad the way it ended.

28th February
Mummy was at a charity Bongo Bingo type event tonight and won a prize which then was transported home on the Metro (it’s a giant margarita glass which may not be immediately apparent!).
26th February
Oliver enjoyed being able to pick his sisters up from school today. It also means that he gets a celebrity welcome from his old school friends and teachers!
25th February
Maisie’s homework next week is to look out for signs of spring. We spotted this crocus this morning peeking through!
23rd February
Jessica took part in her first theatre show with her gymnastics/dancing school. She was amazing despite being incredibly nervous beforehand.
22nd February
We inherited some new track to add to existing track so Oliver lives playing with a huge track today!
19th February
Tim Lamb Centre today with friends. We definitely chose the best day weather wise although it was still miserable at times! We did get to meet a therapy pony who was adorable.
16th February
Oliver went for a bike ride on his new (to him) bike today. He is brilliant on it and he loves the freedom!
14th February
Maisie was over the moon to have a knock on the door after school from one of her friends with a Valentine’s Day card and box of chocolates!
12th February
Oliver loved his school trip to the Discovery Museum today! A bus and lots of water play. What’s not to love?!
11th February
The girls are loving their new bedside lamps. It means they don’t disturb each other when they want to read or colour in!
9th February
When you can’t sleep so you come downstairs for 5 minutes and get milk plus 5 mins of last night’s Masked Singer!!!
