Home schooling is still happening. Maisie is left handed so hasn’t got the neatest writing. Today we practiced handwriting to help with that!

Rhubarb crumble with rhubarb collected from Granny’s garden (safe distancing!). It was delicious!

Today was a difficult day. Frustration, irritation and a general lack of understanding about why we can’t have our ‘normal life’ has set in. Play doh and games day!

Jessica having an online meeting. She’s got a better social life than any of us with Brownies and Cubs online!

16th April

Our best homemade bread yet (and we’ve made a lot over the last 6-12 months) to go with pate and salad for dinner. It didn’t last long!

15th April

The girls couldn’t access Mummy’s phone via FaceID so they disappeared and returned dressed as Mummy! Not surprisingly, PhoneID didn’t work but they made us all laugh at their efforts!

14th April

Today is all about games!

Oliver has been waking early so he (with Mummy) went for a 7am bike ride today. Bonus was that we didn’t bump into many people!

We made our first ever hot cross buns today! They are delicious. A lot of effort so not sure we’ll repeat this when not in lockdown but they are tasty.

This happened today and we’re so proud of him! Not road ready yet. He is the most stubborn and determined little boy we know!

Mummy and Daddy hosted a quiz tonight for Mark’s team. Fab fun and we’re repeating it next week!

Our daily exercise. Oliver and Mummy went to collect lunches from school for 4 families today so walked and peered into all of the building sites on the way. It was a lovely 5km round trip in the warmth!

Scouting in person is currently not happening so the month of April is #campathome for Northumberland members. We decided it’s still a bit fresh outside at the moment so have brought the tent indoors for the first few weeks. We’ll progress to outdoors at some point!
