28th May

When you’re left to clear all of the balls from the garden! Well done, Maisie.
PS: Mummy did help after taking this photo!

27th May

Lunch in the garden today!

26th May

Oliver insisted on helping to cut the grass today! The lines weren’t straight but he didn’t do a bad job on the grass he did cut!

25th May

Oliver foraging for leaves and flowers to decorate his tree!

24th May

New glasses day. The previous ones weren’t fitting very well so new ones arrived today!

23rd May

Homemade pizzas for dinner! They were very deep pan but not bad for our first attempt.

22nd May

We are very lucky to have a garden while we’re all stuck at home!

21st May

We are very lucky to have some amazing friends!

20th May

We bought a new ‘toy’ during lockdown and it’s amazing. Our very own (non-permanent!) mini swimming pool. Oliver is loving it as he’s missing swimming so much!

19th May

Daddy had a governor’s meeting tonight (online) and Mummy had to remove the Sunday School VE display so we timed them together to enable Daddy to concentrate and not be interrupted. Oliver loved being back to church and having a quick ride on some toys!

18th May

A slow morning here so we started with jigsaws!

17th May

Mummy found this photo of Jessica (plus a few more)! Taken by Jessica alone (Mummy’s head is in background finishing a jigsaw). No idea how Jessica did this or got that high but it’s impressive!

16th May

Oliver is up early each morning so it’s a battle to find activities to do to avoid waking the girls. Today he decided to do a sensory sniff of every herb and spice. The faces were priceless!

15th May

Jessica found herself in space during her Brownies zoom tonight!

14th May

A lovely bike ride today to visit the old school site (now a pile of bricks) and some Douglas forest school in the grounds.

13th May

Jigsaws today!

12th May

Happy lockdown birthday to George! We partied via Zoom today!

11th May

Play-doh time!

10th May

Sunday School stones today! Ours are the three stones along the bottom. Showing who we are thankful for!

9th May

All about paddling pool fun today! It eventually warmed up slightly after being up for 3 days.

8th May

Homemade meringues, afternoon tea (for lunch!) and lots of playing in the sun!

7th May

It’s Oliver’s best friend’s birthday tomorrow so we made a little present for him. Oliver chose the design before writing his own name on the back!

6th May

VE Day decorations in full force today!

5th May

It’s our friend’s 40th birthday and she’s stuck at home. We surprised her with homemade cream tea and Prosecco!

4th May

We have the best neighbours. A lovely doorstep surprise this morning!

3rd May

Helping make cheesecake for dessert!

2nd May

We went for a bike ride and walk this afternoon. Oliver’s first time out during civilised hours. He was brilliant. He visited the Metro and didn’t touch anything while patiently waiting 17 minutes to wave to the train! He loved blowing the dandelion heads!

1st May

We are so proud of these two girls. They’ve slept in a tent for the last 30 night, and the last 7 have been outside when the temperatures have dropped to 2° and 3°. They are 6 and 8. They didn’t complain and have loved every minute! They are also world record holders (as are Mummy and Oliver) as we helped achieve the world’s largest camp!).

30th April

Oliver and his school are famous again! 10 Downing Street this time!

29th April

Today was ‘quick chance fancy dress’!

28th April

Today’s excitement was making fruit scones! They were delicious!

27th April

Flowers by (& photograph credit to) Maisie! Made with play-doh.

26th April

When there just isn’t quite enough mashed potato on the plate!
