22nd September

Perhaps a little earlier than normal but who is counting! Christmas cake made!

21st September

Mummy and Daddy alone time without work and children!! Daddy had a longer lunch break today to make up for some very long days, so we headed to the beach for a walk and picnic. It was really lovely!

20th September

Maisie and Mummy made it to church! She described it as “very weird”!

11th September

Another park visit today to celebrate the end of the school week!

10th September

Oliver painting his house for The Three Little Pigs. Explains why his clothes are always filthy each day. (Photo courtesy of school)

9th September

Mummy’s job for the day - foraging through these bushes for the last of any blackberries and the start of the sloe berries!

8th September

Oliver has a new taxi driver and escort this year, plus new friends in his taxi. On the first day of school, Oliver just skipped out and straight into the car with no issues at all. We have to remind ourselves that he is only 6 and is happy to confront everything in life without any complaints! This is him waving to his new taxi (taken from this angle to avoid to registration details and faces) after school today!

7th September

Our new boiler was fitted today around an emergency trip to A&E following a call from Oliver’s school that he’d split the inside of his lip in a fall. They thought it’d need a stitch or two but thankfully we avoided that! He was incredibly brave!

6th September

Gin and tonic in Mummy’s new treat to herself for surviving lockdown!

5th September

We’re back to being socially distant with grandparents as the children are back to school. We had a belated birthday party for Grandma followed by a visit to the park!

4th September

While catching up on some gardening, Mummy spotted our tomatoes! Not very many this year and quite late but they are there!

3rd September

For the first time in 6 months, all three children are in school and the house is quiet! It’s been a long hard slog but we managed it. Mummy and Daddy will enjoy the 5 hours of peace, but now we catch up on everything that been left!

2nd September

The girls are back to school today but Oliver isn’t so we were on the early Metro to the coast. Cullercoats Bay was a lot calmer than it was last week!

1st September

Oliver has fun with the vacuum before we started on school preparation with plaits and early nights!
