Oliver is self-isolating again, so our last week of homeschooling is going to be tricky. Lots of garden play today followed by a very clear moon!

Mummy found out she passed all three BSL exams! A fabulous surprise ‘isolation survival’ package arrived today! We had a walk to see trains, and then went to see Grandad K and GG at Oliver’s request!

Oliver loves to start the day with porridge, fruit and honey! We’ve baked, we’ve splashed in a blue jelly bath, we’ve worn inside out clothing for Children’s Mental Health Week and we’ve clapped for Captain Tom!

2nd February
Oliver’s self isolation is over; 10 days after his last contact with the positive case. Thankfully no symptoms other than severe cabin fever. He cannot return to school yet, as there’s not sufficient staff able to return to his bubble, so another 4 days off. It has been a very long and difficult 8 days (we had isolated from other people for the first 2 days without knowing anything) for all of us, so we’re relieved we can see light again.
Rather than be stuck at home again while the girls attended online lessons, Oliver managed to escape for a few hours to see Grandparents (he cannot see them while he’s attending school as the risk is too great, but having isolated, it’s safe and legal to create a childcare bubble for a few days). He then returned home for plenty of playtime!

Day 7. Oliver has taken to literally escaping out of the house! The girls enjoyed a few hours with Daddy at the park today.
